Our liquid sodium silicate comes in various grades:

1.   Low Ratio Sodium Silicate (LR)

SiO2/Na2O Ratio: Typically below 2.0

Our low ratio sodium silicate is characterized by its low SiO2 content relative to Na2O. They are amore alkaline and has a lower viscosity and are often used as a binder in foundry applications, in making adhesives, and in some construction materials.

 

2.   Medium Ratio Sodium Silicate (MR)

SiO2/Na2O Ratio: Typically between 2.0 and 2.4

Our medium ratio sodium silicate are versatile grade used in various applications, including detergent manufacturing, ceramics, and water treatment. It has moderate viscosity and is suitable for both binding and sealing purposes.

 

 

3.   High Ratio Sodium Silicate (HR)

SiO2/Na2O Ratio: Typically above 2.4

ZEOTEC‘s high ratio sodium silicate has a high SiO2 content relative to Na2O, resulting in a thick and viscous solution. It is often used in applications where higher viscosity and lower alkalinity are desired, such as in the formulation of specialty coatings, refractories, and cements.

 

4.   Specialty Grades
