LIGHTWEIGHT BRICKS

Our lightweight refractory bricks, also known as insulating refractory bricks, come in different grades and types to serve various high-temperature applications where insulation and heat containment are essential.

LIGHTWEIGHT BRICKS

Details

These grades vary in terms of composition, insulating properties, and temperature resistance. The choice of lightweight refractory brick grade depends on the intended application, the required insulating properties, and the operating temperature of the equipment or furnace. These bricks are crucial for conserving energy, reducing heat loss, and maintaining the integrity of high-temperature processes in various industrial settings.

Lightweight Fireclay Insulating Bricks

·       Composition: Made from fireclay and lightweight aggregates.

·       Temperature Resistance: Suitable for applications with temperatures up to around 1,260°C (2,300°F).

·       Applications: Used in the construction of industrial furnaces, kilns, and ovens where moderate insulation is required.

Lightweight High-Alumina Insulating Bricks

·       Composition: Made from high-alumina materials and lightweight additives.

·       Temperature Resistance: Suitable for temperatures up to approximately 1,450°C (2,650°F).

·       Applications: Commonly used in industries requiring higher temperature resistance, such as in the aluminum industry for melting and holding furnaces.

Mullite Lightweight Insulating Bricks

·       Composition: Made from mullite-rich materials and lightweight fillers.

·       Temperature Resistance: Suitable for temperatures up to around 1,600°C (2,912°F).

·       Applications: Used in high-temperature applications like ceramic kilns, petrochemical heaters, and heat-treatment furnaces.

Lightweight Silica Insulating Bricks

·       Composition: Made from high-purity silica and lightweight fillers.

·       Temperature Resistance: Suitable for temperatures up to approximately 1,700°C (3,092°F).

·       Applications: Used in extremely high-temperature applications such as glass melting furnaces and ceramic kilns.
